Java Calendar 24 Hour Format

Java Calendar 24 Hour Format. // convert date to string. How can i force the calendar control to recognize my time is 24 hour format?

The date should be today’s date and the time set to 10:30. I have some time value which is in string format (for example 12:45 am and 7:00 pm).
